Three new therapists are hired by UBMC The Uintah Basin Medical Cen- ter is announcing the hiring of two new physical therapists and a speech therapist Crispin Dalsing has been hired as the Director of Rehabilitation at the hospital. Dalsing moved to Roosevelt from Bums, Oregon where he was employed as the Director of Rehabilitation at Harney District Hospital. He received his Bachelors of Science from Utah Valley State College where he majored in Biology and minored in Physics. He obtained a degree in Physical Therapy at Chicago Medical School. Crispin is originally from Utah County. He and his wife, Kristine, and their four children, Hillary, Dakota, Hunter and Kennedy say they are excited to be back in Utah near family and friends. Physical therapist Russ Muir is new to the Uintah Basin. Russ is a native of Sandy. He attended BYU . childs teacher by sending messages. John Cochran is the hospitals speech therapist, a newly created position. John has lived in Roosevelt for the past year and and says that wife and three children have enjoyed the Basin. The Cochran family moved from Fort Collins, Colo, by way of Payson. John received his Masters degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Northern Colorado. Back-to-Scho- ol Enrollment down at westside schools in Uintah County By Mary Wertz USU Enrollment at the westside schools in the Uintah School District is down from last year with the Dick Jones r Uintah Basin Medical Center Is Excited To Introduce You To Our New Rehabilitation Team exception of West Junior High, which reinstated their 9th grade program this year. At West, student enrollment went from 182 students last year to 239 this year. This increase of 57 students is attributed to the westside 9th graders who did not enroll at Union High this year because the Uintah School Board decided earlier to keep their 9th graders at West. Lapoint Elementary has 259 students this year compared with last year's 274 students, a decrease of 15 students. Todd Elementarys enrollment shows a decrease of 24 students. Last year 337 students attended the school; this year's enrollment totals 313. Horizons USU Horizons class changes: The Chinese Cooking class originally scheduled to start Wed. Sept. 16 has been rescheduled for Wed. Sept. 23. Lola Barney from Taiwan will teach this class. Also the Pagemaker Basics class taught by Peggy Hollen will meet on Friday, Sept. 1 1 instead ofThursday, Sept. 10.
