Ross, end Clerk Pat Stratton. Road Matter Leon Fillingim: The commission asked Leon Fillingim to attend a meeting with them and BIA Superintendent Perry Baker Aui gust 23. A culvert for Darrell North, located on Noth Myton Bench, waa discussed. The commission is reluctant to have the newly paved road disturbed. Mr. Fillingim was assigned to consult with Mr. North to see if another alternative could be considered to handle his waste water problem. The permit procedure will set the guidelines for crossing the road if that is the only solution. The commission directed Supervisor Fillingim to state the policy of the countyon all future right-of-wpermits. That policy being that it la the ofthe person, responsibility ' rictreouostingtheright-ofwa- nve been included in the contract initially and that the commission shouldnt be involved in the current discussions. The commission gave Mr. Rowley a copy of Mrs. Stankflelds proposal for Mr. Rex Harrison's review. Chairman Dastrup stated that if the correction to Mrs. Stansfields concerns develops into a cost over-ruand falls on the county, the county will bid the Job for the sake of Mitchell - T.V. Min- utes stood approved. wqm earn wtastaitattiiM NOTICE OF TAX IF1CREASE The DUCHESNE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT has proposed to increase its property tax revenue from $4,605,102 to $5,135,864 or 11.5 and to increase its total budget from $17,612,266.00 to $17,959,338.00 or 1.97. The proposed increase in property tax revenues will come from the following sources: (a) $401,022 of the proposed increase will come from an increase in the property tax rate from .008017 to .008941; and (b) $3 1,178 of the proposed increase will come from reappraisal; (c) $98,562 of the proposed increase will come from natural increases in the value of the tax base due to new growth. A home valued at $75,000 in Duchesne Co. School District which based on last year's property tax rate and budget paid $424.05 in property taxes and would pay the following: (1) $402.70 if Duchesne Co. The plan will pay 95 percent for generic drags and 85 percent for brand name drugs. Mr. Nelson shared a short slide presentation that displayed potential areas of risk common to all countiee. Risk management is Mr. Nelsons area of expertise. He does consulting, reviews and examinations for counties. He commended the county in its efforts in this area and explained that next year the UAC will be offering credit for efforts in risk management. He planned on being in the county for two days to do a risk review. Rodney Rowley, Horrocks Engineers: The commission discussed Sirs.
