Every item that came out of the box brought with it another story of another time. ; The house is full of in every shelf, in every comer, 'in every drawer, memories too numerous to keep without their tangible reminders. Can we really give up all these memories? i Remember when the power went off and we played hide and seek in the dark. It became one of our favorite games, even when there tored-awa- y them-memo-i- ries .was power. Remember when you were jumping on the trampoline and you got so sick. Turned out to be same day you had appendidtis-t-he ifasted for your patriarchal blessing. It was a couple of days before you finally got to eat something. Remember all the slumber parties on that same trampoline. ! Remember when you fell ihrough the ceiling from the attic 'and we decided it was a good excuse to open the ceiling to the Rafters. Remember all the dusty, dirty insulation we had to shovel out before we could tear out the ceiling. Those ceiling beams became the family Jungle gym. Remember how we lived for about a year around piles of insulation, plumbing and wiring in various stages of workability, knocked out or half-bu-ilt walls. Every day was a new surprise. Remember when we had no heat and I had to get up at 4 am and build a fire so the house would be bearable when everyone got up for school. Remember how wonderful it was to finally have heat in every S . 0-- 3 room. But nothing felt as good as 4-- 6 backing up to that hot stove. Remember the kitties, real and not so real. The Improvement District hoped to pay back their financial obligations with the revenues generated by new connections, but found it difficult to do because of lack of water said Mr. Fisher. "We have purchased the rights for the water coming out of Red Creek Springs, but because of our status as an improvement district, we cant generate the finances to install the water system from there," said Mr. Kesler. Installation for a four to five mile system from Red Creek Springs, located further west of Mill Hollow Springs, which is the present supply of water, located approximately ten miles northwest of Fruitiand, would incur more debt for the district (an additional $300,0004400,000) This caused Commissioner Larry Ross concern for future financing of the project. "They might need grants or other source of money also." Mr. Fisher pointed out the water board, users, and himself were undertaking a massive search for grants and funding, including possible annual lot fees for existing users. "There is always a way. If one method doesn't work out, then well try another." 111 1 M laYA" H YwaYJ V I mans. When a car or camper is available, store food and garbage inside in a sealed compartment like the trunk. Usually food stored in a trailer or car is safe as long as the windows and doors are closed, but bears are capable of breaking into cars and trailers if they find an opening. Other attractants include perand fumes, cologne, make-u- p especially blood. It is best, whenever you go into the country, to leave perfumes, make-u- p or deodorants at home. If a bear wanders into camp, it might be attracted toward the sleeping area by the smell of perfume, cologne or make-uThe smell of blood is an even greater attractant This can be from a minor source such as a scratch on the arm or from a major source such as a gutted elk. Again, it is common sense, keep yourself and your camp as clean as possible. Bear problems are very infrequent, let s keep it that way.
