Page 3 Local Scout gets BSA Heroism award Orem City Council Chambers wen full Saturday March 1 as a 14 year old Roosevelt Boy Scout, Scott Harrison, stepped forward to accept one of Scoutings most prestigous awards, the ' Heroism Stewart Nancy Roosevelt. of Harrison, Award. In attendance were Officers and Executive Board Members of the Utah National Parks Council representing the Scouting movement from as far away as Page, Arizona, parts of western Nevada, and 'all of Utah south of Point of the Mountain, for the full width of the state, including the Uintah Basin. Harrison received the Heroism Award in , recognition of action taken, using learned Scout Skills, in saving the life of young Mark Stewart,' age 3, while swimming near each other in the city pool during late August of last year. This rare honor is awarded by the National Court of Honor of the Boy Scouts of America in Irving, Texas. He is a member of Troop 700 sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da-y Saints. He attends Roosevelt. Junior High where he enjoys sports, recently becoming a Junior High School class State Wrestling Champ for his weight.
