Gravid Argyle Canyon , David and Donna Nielsen and Ray and Jean Roberts met with the Commissioners to request that the county gravel another mile of road down Argyle Canyon. The Commissioners explained to them that the flooding throughout the county has put the road crew behind schedule and they may not have the time this year to do any major work in Argyle canyon. Halle to Use Corral Toni Halle: The Commissioners agreed to allow Toni to use the corral and shed located on the piece of property that she has leased from the County until next June 1. It was not specified in the bid as to whether or not the shed and corral were included in it Toni-wilbe required to sign a release of liability in the event that one or mare of- her horses gets injured while on the property. K v Utilities to Check Building Leo ' .Brady, representing Uintah Basin Telephone, wanted some clarification, from the Commissioners concerning the ordinance requiring utilities to check to see if an individual has a building permit before allowing than to hook up any type of utility. The Commissioners explained that they need the help of the utility companies in the County in order to stay on top of what is coming into and being l - . built in the County. In the past them have been several different types of dwellings either built or moved into the County that do' not meet the standards as listed in the uniform building code and it is the intent of this commission to try and clean up the County as much as they can. This ordinance will enable the County to do this. Fenced Road: Mast Move Ernest Cards met with the Commissioners to discuss with them the piece of property which he fenced which fence blocked off a County road. Ernest explained that he eras afraid that he would be liable for people croesing his property if the road was not a proper County mad. He said that it is not marked on the map in the same place as the road actually is. County Attorney Dennis Draney explained hat the road has been traveled the proper amount of time and has been formally accepted onto the road system, which County allows the County to maintain the road and also allows for the public'to travel the road without placing the liability on the property owner. County to Use MltauMaM Grader ' Paul Evensen from Rasmussen Equipment preaented a proposal to the Commissioners on the ' purchase by the County, of a Mitsubishi Grader, comparable to ' a Caterpillar 14G, for $87,998. The Commissioners asked Mr. Evensen to have one brought out for the County to try fin: a few days if possible. A demo will be brought out on Monday and the road department will be able to use it for a few days to see how it - , performs. Summer Youth Program Diana asked the Commissioners about the contract on the fixe trucks purchased for Myton and Tabiona. The Chamber plans to ask several private contractors and the City to also help with the prqject by furnishing equipment to haul in the dirt and place it in the fora of a trade. The City will be asked to operate the trad after it is completed.
