Show ' i 0 ) Christmas trees now available A popular family recreational activity each winter is cutting a Christmas tree. Lands managed by the Ashley National Forest and the BLM are open this fall for tree cutting. To legally cut a tree, a $2.00 permit tag is required from either tahe BLM or the Forest Service. Tags for Christmas trees harvested on Forest Service lands can be purchased at any of the five Ranger District Offices located in Manila, Dutch John, Vernal, Roosevelt, and Duchesne. Tags for trees harvested on BLM lands can be purchased at District Office and the the Forest Service Vernal Ranger District Office. Troop 701 holds court A Boy Scout Court of Honor was held last Wednesday, November 10, at the Ballard north ward troop 701. Barry Birchell conducted the court and the colors were presented by the troop. Earl Reary gave the opening prayer and Bishop Leon Grover presented the scouters minutes. Danny Richens and Todd Simpson received their tenderfoot badges. Eddie Samuels, Doug Dalhberg, Leslie Farnsworth and Aaron Jordon, received their second class awards.
