Colorado to James H. and Annie Agnes McIntyre Gow, Kaye lived most of her life in the Denver, Colorado area. She came to Utah to live a few years ago. Her health deteriorated and she moved into the Stewart Convalescent Villa, where she became an endeared member of the Villa family. The staff became her dose family and she enjoyed sharing her life's experiences with them. She became handicapped from a stroke in 1952. Then she became severely handicapped from a lung and heart disease which required constant use of an oxygen tank. Her family said she was the only everyone took their troubles to. "She would often counsel staff and patients alike, but most of all she took time to listen. Kaye adopted whole families, but her biggest enjoyment came when she had numerous and nephews. It made her proud to tell others about them. She was glad to share their love as if they were her children. Kaye requested her eyes be left for someone else. But because of her age and disabilities this was impossible. So in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Primary Children's Medical Center Cardiac Care Unit, Salt Lake.
