Show Il dUintah IBasin Standard Angie and Gary to many USU Extension plans test of pressure cookers Janeen Cook, Extension USU Home Economist, will be testing pressure cooking gauges at the Utah State University Extension Office in Roosevelt Monday, Aug. 8. Anyone interested may bring their pressure cooker lids in between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. This service is available free of charge. Everyone is welcome to court dance Mr. and Mrs. Brent Fisher, Altamont, wish to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Angie, to Gary Lee Mathews, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mathews, Mt. Emmons. They will be married Aug. 1, in the Altamont Ward Cultural Hall. A reception will be held that evening from 8 to 11 p.m., also in the cultural halL The Altafiiont High School cheerleaders will present an outdoor danee on the tennis courts July 23 in conjunction with the Longhorn Days celebration. The dance will begin at 8:80 p.m. and is open to people of all ages. Mike McKee will provide musk. Cost is $4 per couple, and $2.50 stag. Angie graduated from Altamont high school. She was student body letterman's secretary, president and cheerleader for two years, drill team mistress for two years, and an honor student. She attended Utah Technical college to study graphic arts and commercial design. She works at the Uintah Basin STANDARD as a typesetter. Gary graduated from Altamont high school where he was student and body class president He also played football and baseball. He was a three-yea- r state wrestler. He works at the Roosevelt Meat vice-preside-nt Neighborhood Sewing dub plant Mrs. Betty Gilbert entertained the Neighborhood Sewing Club at her home Wednesday evening.
