Swaseys celebrate gold year Mr. and Mrs. Lucius R" Swaaey will be honored at an open house celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary July SI in the Bridgeland Ward cultural hall, from 8 to 11 p.m. Inez Dumnt and Lucius R" Swaaey were married July 29, 1931 in the Logan Temple. "R" was born in Mona, Utah. He moved to Boneta when he was 11 years old, and was in the sheep business with his father there. Inez was born and raised in Provo. She graduated from BYU with a Normal Degree and taught school for two years in Boneta, where she met R". They lived in Arcadia for a year. In they moved to their present home in Bridgeland, where they ran a dairy farm for .many years before retiring. They are active in the LDS Church and have held many church positions. They have six living children: Ardell Gillespie, North Salt Lake, George L. Swasey, Duchesne; Amanda Prows, Grantavillr, Donna Thompson, Dutch John; Maxine Jensen, Provo; and John A. Swasey, Duchesne. They have 89 grandchildren and 11 1936 isi Phon. New, 5 .m, 1 The David and Lydia Beckstead Jenkins family reunion, which is usually held in July, has been changed this year and will be held Saturdayr August 1. in the old Roosevelt Park. The hostess was Nina Merkley, with Ovirta Hayes and Marie Pope as esses. After supper was served, members played progressive bingo. The bride's parents hosted the event. Bishop Dennis Jensen officiated. Tammy is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Hardy, Roosevelt, and Arvin is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Myron Haslem. The couple was honored at a reception June 26 in the Moon Lake Electric building. The hall was decorated in lavender and blue. Renee Hardy, the brides sister, was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Cathy Lin Zufelt and Ilene McKinnon. Best man was Glen Haslem, the grooms brother. Jolyn Haslem was at the guest book, and Shauna Murphy, Alicin Lusty and Dearwin Eldredge were in charge of gifts. Servers were Gayle Buchanan and Lou Colton. The groom's sister, Susan Haslem, made and decorated the wedding cake. On their honeymoon the couple went camping, visited Salt Lake, went to Lagoon and the zoo, and saw a movie in Provo. They're making their home in Roosevelt on Montwell Road. Arvin works at L&L Motor as a mechanic and Tammy is a nurse's aide at the hospital.
