Interestingly enough, 81 states do hnot have a food tax, and only j Mississippi has a tax aa high aa Utah's, which gives some idea of how other 'i states handle the tax on food. If the i tax should be removed, the loss b State revenue will have to be made up in some other way, so the Governors ' tax revision committee b working on '! this problem. It will be interesting to see if the tax will be removed and, if ft is, how the baa in revenue will bo made up. Our bus trip to the Festival of the American West, in Logan, should be full, but there b a chance it haa more eats so if anyone would like to go, 7224601, give us a call at 5825 or 4296. Maybe there b still room. However, as for as the two trip in September to Nashville, Tennessee and the Pacific Northwest, there b plenty of room for more riders. The Nashville trip leaves Sept 22 and the Northwest trip leaves on Sept 8. The group area overlooks the boat dock and b close to the lake for anyone who would like to do some fishjng or boating. Next Monday, Aug. 4, there will bo bingo at the Roosevelt center at 1:80 p.m., and buses will run to the bingo game if we can get six or more to ride.
