Then set your activities sponsored tights on all the by the Associated Students of the College of Eastern Utah and mark your calendar for the upcoming events Along with the tricks and treats Halloween brings other special ASCEU events are approaching "Red Ribbon Week" will promote it's message during the week of OcL 23 with a wide range of activities The Preference Ball a girl's choice dance will be held on Friday OcL 27 at 9 pm The theme is "When I See You Smile" A dinner is scheduled before the dance Tina Sperry Pam Dupin and Jennie MiQgate are in charge of this event Two activities are slated for Monday OcL 30 "Fate Dates" a wild and wacky adventure that pairs off couples who dare to date through fate will team with the theater department's opening of "Dracula" at 7:30 pm in the Geary Theatre Topping off the Halloween holiday will be the Banshee Bash 6n Oct 31 Looking ahead to November scheduled events include a scavenger hum dances volleyball games and the Thanksgiving holiday In December prepare to "Pack The BDAC" as CElTs basketball team opens it's season with a home game set for Dccl against Western Wyoming Also plan on attending the student traditional and Christmas dances Brad Gwythcr ASCEU president encourages CEU students to attend the various activities "The only way this year will be successful is if the students take the initiative to participate in school functions be it in academic forms or athletically There needs to be a type of interaction in order to show our support and really appreciate CEU as an institution" Gwythcr said Other ASCEU officers include JD Conover of academics and Kristie Eliason of activities Together the officers govern the CEU students by voicing their opinions to the administration and making their needs public Recently students were appointed by the ASCEU to hold positions in the student government They include: Jason Nicholas freshmen representative Shane Pinneo sophomore representative Connie Johnson financial secretary Cameon Crooks ton academic secretary Jennie Mitigate activity secretary Kordine Schmidt publicity chairman Jake Shewmake intercollegiate club chairman and Lisa Morgan activities chairman fun-flll- TUESDAY Art Show "Utah Collects Utah' I Region 13 VoHeybal Readers Series Lowel Jaeger 8pm Little Theatre Gallery East -- 10am 5 pm -- II QChuchwagon Breakfast Institutional Council 2pm Alumni Room Board of R gents 0 Forensics -- i Ricks College Contest!
