thereof lawful money shall be assessed upon every male resident of the City of Ephraim over twenty- twenty one and under fifty years of age who is not physically incapacitated in incapacitated domestic fowls are hereby prohibited from running at large between the first day of April and the first day of September of each year and every person who shall allow his domestic fowls to run at large to the anno ce of any person during the time mentioned shall be deemed guilty of an offense and shall be fined In any sum not exceeding 1000 The proprietor of every pub pub- lie lic business fronting on any street of this city is hereby required to set and retain a a. post hitching-post in the street In front of said place of business not more than five feet from the outer edge of the sidewalk or water sect thereon and said post shall not be less than five inches in diameter and placed firmly in the ground and not less than 20 feet from any street crossing Every person who shall vehicle standing unfastened in any street of this city is liable to a fine in any sum not exceeding 1000 Every person who shall ride drive or lead any horse mule or other animal upon any sidewalk sidewalk side side- walk except for the purpose of entering or leaving a city lot or over any foot footbridge bridge or shall shaU stop any team or vehicle on any crosswalk so as to Impede public streets of the City of Ephraim after the hour of 9 o'clock pm p.m. or before the hour of 4 o'clock am a.m. unless on special business for which they can give a proper reason to any police man who may twenty hours This ordinance was amended later to make the time after which boys or girls might not be upon the public streets of the City of Ephraim to eight o'clock pm p.m. during the winter months
