L Jack Hougaard who is currently District Forest Ranger on the Shake Creek Ranger District t with headquarters headquarters headquarters head head- quarters in Gooding Idaho Is being transferred and promoted to a staff position on the Salmon National Forest where he willbe will willbe be In charge of range wildlife and watershed management ac activities ac- ac activities ti on that forest Hougaard graduated from Snow College in 1957 and re received received re- re received a BS degree from Utah State University in 1959 He began his forest service career in June of that year as range conservationist on the Moab ranger district of LaSal Manti-LaSal National Forest In Utah He later was promoted to assistant ranger on the Monticello District District District Dis Dis- and then to district ranger on the Moab District all on the Manti-LaSal Manti National Forest In October of 1956 he transferred transferred transferred trans trans- to the Sawtooth National Forest where he has been a ranger on the Shake Creek District District District Dis Dis- since that time He is a a. native of Mantl Manti This transfer was effective November 2 and he and his wife Wilma Tuttle Tuttle Tuttle Tut- Tut tle and four children Kathy Ethylen Halbert and Michael moved to Salmon about that time |
