members of ot other extreme groups both right and left have been peddling fear and distrust of our system of democracy By collecting people to sign petitions they employ the exact strategy as those who collect people to march in demonstrations Both petitions and demonstrations are expressions of dissent against the established system of republican democracy provided provided provided pro pro- vided for in the constitution That great document however also provides freedom to ex express express express ex- ex press dissent I think if the members of the Birch Society want a voice in our government they should express it by casting votes for candidates of their choice If It can produce better candidates than those in office and those running for office let us all get behind them and elect them But lets let's do away way with these silly petitions By fostering hate fear and distrust extremists have done enemies of America a great service While the price of liberty is eternal
