I Donne Anderson Snares Top Honors At Af Mink Show A ManU Mantl mink rancher seems well on his way up In a very difficult business This fact was bourne out last Sunday in West Jordan Utah when the Anderson Mink lUnk Ranch of Manti Mantl walked off ort with top honors The Mt Jordan Field Day was held under the sponsorship of the Utah Mink Marketing Group which Is made up of 47 Utah mink ranchers This organization or organization organization or- or aids in the marketing of the Utah mink pelts Representing the Mantl Manti mink ranch at the competition was Donnel and Sandra Anderson and their heir son Bryce and daugh daughter ter Leslie Ann Mr Anderson selected six of his animals to compete in the event His son Bryce selected one OM of ot the winning prize-winning en en- en tries There were live animals entered in n the judging They were judged for their fur quality quality quality ity size proper color and texture Points were awarded in each of the categories and at the completion of the judging judging judging judg judg- ing they were totaled toWed and the high point winner Mr Anderson Ander Ander- son was named A fur expert Bob Ballard was brought In from New York to act as judge of the event Mr Anderson reported that all of his mink placed high Inthe in inthe inthe the competition which netted him a shiny new trophy and a blue ribbon In commenting on the contest Mr Anderson said that the suspense suspense sus sus- pense was great throughout the entire judging as the animals were moved forward or backward backward backward back back- ward and each rancher wondered wonder wonder- ed where his entries would end up Donnel said that this was one of his greatest thrills The Anderson Mink Unk Ranch entries placed second in competition competition com com- petition last year |
