W Crane Jensen and Richardson who have not merely been studying the book but also delving into volumes portraying medieval scenes agree that their assignment assignment assignment assign assign- ment is both a fascinating and anda a difficult one For example the opening scene occurs at a hilltop near Camelot a long time ago What did a hilltop near Camelot Camelot Camelot Came Came- lot look like a long time ago Not any ordinary hilltop surely In Act I there are additional scenes that require some doing Arthurs Arthur's study for instance And what did Arthur study in his study As he reclined in front of the fireplace he didn't read the Camelot Tribune or watch Bob Welti Welt with the weather Maybe he just lounged in the royal pajamas and watched Queen Guenevere stir up the fire There are other scenes that are stickers a terrace of the castle the grandstand of of the field and the great hall And Act II presents similar problems The Queens Queen's Bedchamber Bedchamber ber is one and the battlefield outside Joyous Gard Card is another Jensen and Richardson want to make it all so true that Queen Guenevere and King Arthur Arthur Arthur Ar Ar- thur Sir Lancelot and Morgan Le Fey will feel quite at home and nd the audience will find them them- selves transported instantly to that mythical realm called Camelot The Highway Patrol wishes to thank the people for their cooperation cooperation co co- co operation in 1966 realizing that without public support their job would be impossible and hope that 1967 will be a safer year |
