Loans outstanding for the week ending Aug. 10 totaled $1,336 million compared to $1,259 million posted for the week ending July 27. The advance was fueled by a 132 percent increase in outstanding federal funds. (Federal funds are loans made by banks to other banks one day at a time. They usually represent excess reserves.) Expecting an attendance of about 40,000 people at $2 each and additional income from booth rentals of $25,000, Bannister said he expects the firm will net $50,000 on the show. He will pay the Salt Palace $8,700 for rental of the main exhibition hall.
