Show The National Enterprise, April 20, 1977 Page three From Happiness to Joy Option Market News by Warren M. Ketcham, Ph.D. Prince, Langheinrich & Greer In this column last week, I said that the key to the market turnaround was heavy volume. Last week we saw that heavier volume, particularly on Thursday when over 30 million shares traded on the Big Board. Volume disappointingly fell on Friday to just over 20 million shares, casting some doubt as to the sustainability of the heavy volume. However, taking many technical factors, it now appears that a higher market is likely over the next couple of months. Some weakness in the market is due this week, considering the six straight up days through last Friday. Wait for this weakness before making your commitment. Keith D. There has been no big trauma in my life. I have never been in the depths of despair. have never had to ask, who am I?" or Why am IT' I have always been a happy person. About eight years ago met some people who were happier than was. This was difficult to understand. I had the world by the tail and these people had more than I did. And I found myself wanting what they had. So I set out to find what it was and discovered that these people had a very close relationship with Jesus Christ. Well, already had that, thought. I was raised in a Christian home, knew who Jesus was and certainly called on Him when needed Him. But most of the time handled my life fine by myself. As studied further, I discovered the secret. For 45 years had kept Jesus on the outside - a safe distance away. You have to open your heart and ask Jesus to come in. You have to surrender your life to Him. You have to be so filled with Him that He takes over completely. It's called being born again" and it's the most important thing that can happen to you. In my case, it was a difficult thing to do, and as I look back, it should have been so easy. thought I was a happy man, but didn't know the meaning of happiness until Jesus took over. Hydro Flame (OTC 2.25, 2.75) has just recorded its highest-eve- r sales and profit year (year ending Dec. 31) and is projecting increased income and revenue for 1977 even though the Consumer Product Safety Commission will force it to drop gravity space heaters (those heaters without fans) from its product line. The gravity heaters, represent 30 to 40 percent of Hydro Flame's total sales revenue. I I I I I I I I I What is a construction machinery house doing in the waste compaction business? The changeover will not represent a loss to the company, the VP opined, but will add about $100 to the price of many RVs HFI tional taxes on gasoline will do little or nothing to slow the purchase power of the determined American adventurer. However, both the industry and Hydro Flame are dreadfully fearful of gasoline rationIf the government ing. imposes gas rationing, our entire industry will slide, opined a spokesman at the RVIA headquarters in Chantilly, Virginia. The RV industry does bend with the pressures of gas rationing as evidenced by the slackening of RV sales in late 1973 and 1974. In fact, in 1974 RV sales dropped some 40 percent (from $2.3 billion in 1973 to $1.39 billion in 74) Both gasoline and the RV industry rebounded in 1975 as rationing ended and RV sales totaled $3.7 billion. If Hydro Flame follows the RV industry, and there is no indication the company will, since the industry was outpaced some four times over last year by the aggressive little Utah firm, the company should increase gross sales by about 17 percent in 1977. A 17 percent increase is projected by the association, and, even though that estimate may be slightly conservative, RVIA is known to be fairly accurate at forecasting annual sales. (In 1976 the industry predicted a sales increase of 26 percent and realized a 30 While percent increase). neither Wright nor company president George Jackson are making predictions for the year, Hydro Flame expects to do better than earlier expected Warm and with its new Wonderful space heater.
