Breed, Vietnam war helicopter pilot who is the winner of the Distinguished Service Cross for valor and 40 other medals, makes himself at home in the cockpit of the world's most advanced combat rotorcraft during a visit to the Lockheed-California Company. Captain Breed inspects the new for the Army AIK56A Cheyenne, now being flight-teste- d by Lockheed at Oinard, while in Southern California for a series ot UA Savings Bonds appearances. Briefing him is Lockheed engineering test pilot Don Segner. Captain Breed, who has chalked up some 200 combat helicopter missions, said he is looking forward to flying the rigid-roto- r Cheyenne. Captain Breed won the the Army's second highest Service Cross, Distinguished decoration, for repeatedly gallantry in action in the rescue of wounded soldiers.
