Unit Called the Valorous Award (VUA), it rankr below th Distinguished Unit Citation, bul above the Meritorious Unit Citation. It will be given to units whose heroism would be compar able to that of an individual awarded the Silver Star THE VUA emblem may be worn permanently on the right breast pocket by an individual who was assigned to a unit during the period for which it was' cited. The emblem will be a red ribbon with the silver star color design superimposed on the center. The entire ribbon will be framed in gold. In addition, the Army announced that the Meritorious Unit Citation (MUC), previously worn on the right sleeve, has been replaced by a new MUC ribbon. THE NEW award- -a red ribbon with a gold frame will be worn on the right breast pocket.'
