Desert Drifts TEST RUN, Dugway Proving Ground, Friday, January 28. l!66 i ; by Jan Hodge The Womens Club of the Officers Open Mess is glad to greet several recent members, i I among these is Mrs. Thomas whose husband is in the ! George, CBR school. The Georges arrived in Dugway in late August from Fort Bliss, Texas. Mrs. George is from Pennsylvania where dm studied nursing and medical technology. The Georges have six children, including a son born since their arrival at Dugway. Also arriving in August was Mrs. David Mason; Capt. Mason is a dentist at the hospital The Masons came here from their home in Southern Ohio. Mrs. Mason worked as a secretary while her husband was in school She enjoys most sports, sewing, and the ceramic facilities of the craft shop. The Masons became parents on Jan. 15 when their son, Brian Scott was born at the Dugway hospital. Mrs. Alyce Lens came to Dugwith her way in family. Captain Lena is serving in the Air Force as the detachment commander of die Air Weather Service. Prior to their Valentine Ornaments Prove Easily Made . - NEW YORK (NAPS) A sparkling candle holder. . . a d mobile. . . festive Valentine ornaments these are Valentine decorations the whole Just a few of the family will have fun creating. The cost is just pennies, and what could be more charming for a Valentine party? Alcoas designer Conny has come up with these easy directions. For the candleholder youll need two ordinary kitchen funnels, aluminum foil, a small 'foil pie plate and artificial violets. TO MAKE the candleholder, join the spout ends of the two funnels by forcing one inside the other. Then cover them with aluminum foil. Place a small foil pie plate or circle of heavy duty foil on top of the Cut a hole in die plate and insert a tall candle. Crushed foil placed in the top funnel will hold the candle upright. With the same items, plus some ribbon, you can also create mobile. a lovely heart-shapThe mobile is made by lightly cradling a piece of Alcoa Wrap aluminum foil about six feet long. Mrs. Lenz hails from California where die attended Long Beach State and was a director in Little Theater. Mrs. Lenz enjoys bridge and sewing, but much of her time is taken up with her three children. The February Luncheon ' of the Womens Club will be on Feb. 7 at die OOM. The featured speaker wiU be Mr. Kurt A. Schneider of Salt Lake City. Mr. Schneider is a member of die Association to Advance Ethical1 Hypnosis and instructs a seminar, and personality on development by means of selfhypnosis. Graduates of die seminar can use hypnosis to control their appetite, stop smoking, and conquer fear and anxiety, and in other ways control their subconscious. Mr. Schneider is an able and interesting lecturer on this fascinating subject of hypnosis. TO MAKE an arrow that goes through the two large hearts, take four pipe cleaners and wrap each one in aluminum foil. Bend three pipe cleaners into V s and glue to the end of the fourth. The new screen enables cinemascope features to be shown in full depth enhancing the showing of the , movie and patron enjoyment. Mr. Davis explained the two achievement awards given to Hercules by the U. S. Air Force for the excellent performance record of the plant In most areas of the plant, charts are displayed, indicating efforts in the Zero Defects program toward the error free goals of the organizations.
