Show 12 Cole. Dr. and Mrs. Lawrence Cutler of the Indian Health Clinic are in San Francisco, Calif., this week for a dental convention. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Natchess and daughter, Amanda, spent a week in Oklahoma and points south visiting with friends. Jim Peltier, Bottle Hollow Manager, is in Albuquerque, Gallup and Toss, N. Mex., this week on business for the resort, lie will meet Supt. Bill Streitz, Ed Emmons, Dennis Mower and Homey Secakuku in Phoenix, Ariz., where the BIA and Tribal representatives will discuss phase II of Bottle Hollow, Resort with BIA Area officials. Bottle Hollow Resort is being represented in Vernal each week at the Dinabowl when Robert and Haskell Chapose, Leonard Self, Richard Mountain, Max Everett, Bob Gratton and Jim Peltier bowl on the Resort team. Friday evening approximately 100 friends visited with the Emmons at the Fort Duchesne Community Building and presented them with small appliances, linens and kitchen utensils in an effort to replace what was lost in the Oct. 7 fire at their home in Avalon. On the hostessing committee for the Fort Duchesne party were Mrs. Hazel Wardle, Mrs. Henry Cuch, Mrs. Bill Stretiz and Mrs. Mack Chapoose, Ruby Black, Phoebe members of their family went to Choteau, Mont., last week and enjoyed a Jensen, Stott family reunion, and also to help celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of her sister, Roy and Alta Stott, e Family members included, Mrs. Verl Lister and children, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Hicken and lamily, Roosevelt; Mr. and Mrs. Bud Harrison and family, Lapoint; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Freeman, Bountiful; Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Stevensen, ML Home; Mrs. Stevensen is a sister to Mrs. Bleazard and Mrs, Stott Mr. and Mrs. Duane Evans and family, Kearns were weekend visitors at the home of her parents, the Frank Murphy's. Mrs Ora Holgate was a guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sharon Holgate in Salt Lake City over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Clayburn, Provo spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Clayburn. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Stevenson of Phoenix, Ariz., are enjoying a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.Frank Holgate. Tom, Lorens Sums, Hank Harden, David Vanderkraats, Marietta Reed, Lula Brock Q1IH33PCBSB and Homey Secakuku. Mr. Secakuku is chairman of the Governor's board and the group discussed the prsent controversy over the Uintah School Board's dress code. Supt. Streitz and Anselmo Val Valverde went onto Skull Valley Reservation after the Governor's meeting and also attended to business there. Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Cuch spent the weekend in the area visiting with his father, Jason Cuch, her eousin, Douglas VanderHoop and Mr. and Mrs. A1 La Rose. The Cuches are college students in Salt Lake City. Maxine and Emiline Natchees and Mrs. Grace Areep motored to Salt Lake City over the weekend to visit Mike loupe who remains hospitalized at Veteran's hospital. Among California hunters in the area last week were Danny and ErnieRed" Lopez, former residents who were guests e Mr. and Mrs. Mark Bleazard with of the Red Rock Corporation. "Red" is gaining national recognition as a prize lunter. They also visited with the Ruben Sixkiller family. The Ute Tribe will be represented when the National Indian Education Advisory Board meets in Seattle, Wash., this week. Fred Conetah, a member of the Inter-TribSchool Board, will represent the Business Committee. Gloria Arrow-gar- p is attending from the Uintah Basin Education Counsel along with Marrietta Reed and Robert Chapoose, Tribal Education coordinator. Students attending the meetings will include Hewlen Wash, Lorena Chapoose, Annette Parriette and Glenna Jenks.
