Ross and Rukavina wedding The Utah Bottle Hollow Resort was the scene of the wedding of Miss Anita Rae Ross and Clark Rukavina Saturday, Oct. 28. Theron Leavitt officiated in the ceremony in the presence of family members and close friends. Parents of the young couple are Mr. and Mrs. Jim Ross, Roosevelt and Mr. and Mrs. Nick Rukavina, Ogden. The newlyweds were honored at a reception in the banquet room at beautiful Bottle Hollow resort east of Roosevelt on Highway 40. The tables were centered with old fashioned dolls and miniature parasols. The receiving line stood before an archway of boxwood with lavender orchids and ribbons. A silver backdrop was flanked with white pedestals topped with urns of three shades of purple flowers and purple grapes. The bride came down the aisle which was draped with silver rope and posts were topped with purple ribbon and greenery hanging down. The bride wore a gown of Nottingham lace with a high Victorian neckline. The empire waistline was accented with a velvet ribbon. The softly gathered skirt had a wide lace ruffle at the bottom with scalloped edges. She wore a veil edged with Nottingham lace. She carried a bridal bouquet of white roses and stephanotis centered with a large purple and lavender orchid, with light lavender streamers. Matron of honor was Patty . Tyze, bridesmaids were Judy and Julie Ross. They wore gowns of dark purple with empire waistlines and ribbon accents of long streamers, high Victorian necklines with cameos at the neck, long full sleeves with cuffs. They carried parasols with daisies and roses on the handles and long streamers of ribbon the same as on the gowns. Flower girls were Terry and Brenda Calhoun. They wore like gowns with purple velvet skirts and white tops and mutton-lesleeves with shiffli embroidery on the sleeves and down the front of the bodice. On their arms they wore white lace bandlels with purple daisies and long streamers. Greg Rukavina performed the duties of best man. Ushers were Rodney Ross and Laddy Tyze. The wedding rake was five tiers with miniature flowers and bells between the 2nd and 3rd layer and was topped with two love birds with rings in their beaks. It was trimmed with three shades of lavender roses and lily of the valley with silver accents. In charge of serving were Mrs. Dan Christensen and Mrs. Julius Rex Murray. Serving girls were Sherry and Julie Wills and at the scroll basket was Margaret Hackford. Debra Hack ford was at the guest book. Mrs. Marion Hackford and Mrs. John Wills were at the gift table. They were assisted by Kitty Wills. Lanae Taylor played the wedding march and helped at the gift table. The couple is making their home in Brigham City for the present n i giving. Worship services begin at II ajn. Nursery care is available for younger children. A fellowship dinner Is enjoyed each Sunday fallowing worship services. each Sunday. State music winners wiH perform here November 10 The Utah Music Teachers Association presents the State Fair Music winners in concert, November 10 at 8 p.m. in tbs Vernal Junior high schooL The winners will perform with piano, violin, hens, flute and voice. All are young people who are very accomplished. Tickets may be purchased by calling Mrs. Murell Johnson, Mrs. Lloyd Burton or Mrs. Clayton Hardy. Tickets are 50c for any student and SLOO for adults. Joan Perkins is engaged to marry Reed Baldwin Mr. and Mrs. Theo Perkins announce the engagement of their daughter, Joan, to Reed Baldwin son of Mrs. Ivean Baldwin. Joan was active in the Pep Club serving as secretary her senior year. She graduated in 1970 from Union high school, as an honor student. She has been attending Utah State University tor the past 2 years. She has been a menitier of the Sonsur Corp. at U.S.U. Mr. Baldwin Is a graduate of Skyvlew high school he grailuated in I9C-C-.
