Show I mmm USU otters East elementary sets PTA meeting, program real estate class Real Estate Principles tor Salesman, RA S23, will be offered through USU Education Center in February. This three credit hour course wOl be held February 8,4,5; 10,11,12. The classes on the 8,4,10 and 11 will run from 5:30 p.m. to 10:80 on the 5 and 12 will run pjn. The classes from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. The first three days the dam will be held in Roosevelt; the last three days the class will be in VernsL This real estate course is required by the state before taking the Real Estate Licensing Exam. Dr. Cal Lowe, instructor for the class, will present an introduction to real estate contracts, forms, principles, and recent Federal Housing Legislation. Since it is necessary to register before going to class, students are asked to register at the Roosevelt office prior to January 81. More information may be obtained by calling 722-229- Utah young FAMILY'S RELATION'S homemakers convention set Family Relations class at West Jr. high school, part of the home economics curriculum last week sponsored a party for small children where students told stories and served refreshments. Purpose of the class is to explore career's in child development and teaching. CLASS-T- he "Th busiest men hive the most leisure." Through the cooperation of Jimmy Reidhead, Rooaevelt City and the Duchesne County School District, the large fields east of East Elementary school are being improved and developed. The existing fields, greatly needed for playground area, were formerly tiered and had been irrigated in the past But through combined efforts they will be developed to accommodate both school and community use. Planned tor the area in the future are two softball diamonds, a soccer field and track areas. Initial dozing work is being donated by the Reidhead Company, with grading, leveling and rolling to be done by Roosevelt City and the Duchesne County School District. of the most popular classes WJHS HOMELIVING CLASS-O- ne at West Jr. high is the essentials in home living class taught by Miss Latham. This class formerly called Bachelor survivals where students study all aspects of home living, laundry, foods and nutrition and personal relationships. The majority of the class is male students. Roosevelt City has also agreed to construct two softball backstops to be used this summer for their planned recreation program. It is this kind of cooperation and shared effort that we feel makes for both better schools, and a more progressive community," commented Dr. Steadman, Principal at the school.
