Many services are available through Veterans Upward Bound, ineluding or counseling, testing, and remedial refresher classes in English, math, reading, and learning skills. Veterans Upward Bound is fully approved by the Veterans Administration for educational benefits under the GI Bill and is open to anyone who has served active time in the U. S. armed forces for weeks. The veteran carries a twenty-si- x course load and has the option of er a morning or evening program with no tuition cost to him or her. M The program gives v veterans an opportunity to relate to their own peer group and to become familiar with the educational setting. The university setting provides a positive and ry rewarding educational experience which ia the beginning of a degree seeking program for many. Of the over two hundred veterans served during the past two years, approximately 85 have continued their education at institutions of higher learning. Spaces are now available in winter quarter classes, which begin January 8, 1977.
