Mrs. Cooper who got started on the collection approximately one year ago said she had wanted to do something similar for her immediate family but like many people she kept putting it oft "I almost waited too long", Mrs. Cooper said. Then with the Bicentennial year coming and being part of the Bicentennial committee it wu decided that restoration and preservation of Mytoo's historical past would bs Myton's project "When the original project fell through I decided that I would go ahead anyway and do what I could by putting pictures and different articles and items in a corner of the store and it seemed to catch on", Ludy said. Fred Todd wu one of several residents who assisted Mrs. Cooper with her project - FVed came to the Myton area in approximately 1906 when he was six years old and the area was new, wu an avid picture taker and when traveling the country with his father, who wu surveyor, he had an opportunity to take many pictures. Along with these and with copies of early written history he and Mrs. Cooper got the collection off to a good start While many people in the basin have fine picture collections Mrs. much that Coopers collection differs in wanting other people to enjoy the collection that she now has Mrs. Cooper hu enlarged some of the pictures many times their original sise, and hu many of them embossed on wood and has them displayed on the walls in a corner of the small store she and her husband hu in ' Myton.
