This heifer was sold at the All American Classic Polled Hereford Sale at the Cow Palace in San Francisco, California. She waa sold for $1,624 to Beartooth Ranch, Columbus, Montana. The heifer was a project of Gina Marie, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Jessen of Altonah. She is pictured with Wayne Naugle, state fair polled hereford show judge. 4-- Garage, bake sale set by radio club The Uintah Basin Amative Radio Club officials this week announced that they 'will sponsor a garage sale and bake sale at the old Uintah Theater, in Rooeevelt Friday and Saturday, November 19-2-0 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Officers said the proceeds from the sale will go for improving Emergency Radio Communications in the basin and throughout the state. , t , r- . i 4 J IAP0IMT if Ms NeatfleU e Mr. and Mrs. Dean Angus from Idaho visited with the Floyd Angus family and with friends the past week, e Ricky Hackford has just returned from a Bicentennial trip with the Uintah high school. e Visiting in Lapoint from Salt Lake were Mr. and Mrs. Dale Christensen. They are doing some work on their place as well as visiting relatives. A testimonial was held for Cal Huber this past Sunday. Cal will serve a mission in Australia. The names of the professors were James GasgiU and Arthur Turklawn. Word was received at the Mansfield home that the exchange student from Mexico will be here November 15. Also an exchange student is coming to the Dale Harrison residence. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Harrison are motoring to Salt Lake to pick them up at thp airpoyt i. ' o:ij Juvenile grant and that the grant consisted of purchasing a new car for the officer. The dty is to have possession of the car as long as a juvenile officer is active in Roosevelt. It was also determined by the council to send Sergeant Davis to attend Sargeant's Administrative Course November 29, through December 3 at the police academy and the Juvenile officers specialist course January 8, through January 14, the cost to the dty being travel expenses. Roosevelt dty day will be held December 10, when the city will present certificates to the winners of the election of the elected and appointed dty officials. At 11 a.m. both the Senior and Junior high school students will tour the sewer and water projects and then the dty will sponsor them to lunch. The students will be asked to attend the following cm.
