Show STANDARD MAY 29, 1975 ' Les Femmes The Lcs Femmes Club held their annual May banquet Wednesday evening. May Grill 14. at the Frontier where smorgasbord dinner was served. The New New officers elected for the coming year Dawnette Adamson, president; are: Shauna Fieldstcd. Ann Birchcll. secretary; program committee; May Lee Burton and Maurine Burdick, float committee; Maxine Murphy, Joan Ryan, and Louise Smith. Three new members welcomed into the club were Mary Lee Burton, Joan Ryan and Shelly Ncilscn. A short story was presented by Paulctt Patterson. The door prize was won by Ann Birchell. Gifts were exchanged and names drawn for new secret pals. Group leaders have announced this is a fund raising project and there will be a donation of $2.50 for couples, $2.00 for single males and $1.00 for single women. Everyone is invited to attend. . DOUBLE RING CEREMONY UNITES COUPLE APRIL The former Jesse Ree Jessen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cory Jessen of Altonah and Brent Walker son of Mrs. Ida Walker and the late Curtis Waldcr of Mt. Home were married April 18 during a double ring ceremony in the Altamont Ward Cultural hall by Bishop Lawrence (Bud) Holgate. Members of the wedding party was honored at a luncheon, at the church following the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Terry Brotherson, Mr. and Mrs. Dec Roberts, and Florence Jessen hosted the luncheon. A black wrought iron stairway with red and pink and white gladiolas. carnations and mums, and lighted grecian pillars topped with green fern was the background for a reception held the same evening honoring the newlyweds. A floor length gown of sheer white organza over white Moire with sheer sleeves with lace inserts, and a full skirt with a built in train with full flounce, with lace inserts above the flounce on the skirt. A bodice trimmed with white seed pearls and an elbow length veil with a high tiera cap trimmed in lace and seed pearl was the wedding ensemble worn by the bride as she greet friends and relatives. The brides bouquet was a white orchid, surrounded by American Beauty red roses, white carnations, and baby's breath. The brides sister, Becky Lee Jessen w as maid of honor and was dressed in a floor Young adults sponsor dance 18 lenght gown of red and pink poleyster floral print with long sleeves and a high neck, and carried a bouquet of rod and Gina pink roses and baby's breath. They wore floor length gowns of red poleyster crepe with high ruffled neck and long full sleeves with an empire waist set off with a cumber bund and a cameo pin at the neck. Their flowers were the same as those carried by the maid of honor. Rachel! Jessen was flower girl and Cody Shiner was the ring bearer. The brides mother was dressed in a floor length gown of pink poleyster crepe and wore a corsage of red. pink and white carnations. The mother of the groom was also dressed in a pink floor length poleyster gown with a corsage the same as that worn by the brides mother. The former Jerri Heaton and Bud Davis were married performed April 8 in the Ballard LDS ward chapel. in rites 1 APRIL 18 RITES UNITE COUPLE IN MATRIMONY The former Jerri Heaton and Billy Davis were married April IK in the Ballard LDS Ward Cultural hall by Bishop Earl Murphy. Jerri is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Verden Heaton of Roosevelt, Billy is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bud Davis also of Roosevelt. A reception. April IK was held in the Ballard Ward cultural hall where the bride and groom greeted guests against a silver backdrop with an archway lined with garlands of white daisies and red carnations. The bride was lovely in a full floor length gown with an empire waist with lacc bodice and long sleeves. The skirt was ehiffon with lacc daisies applicacd on it. The brides fingertip veil was of voil. She carried a bouquet of blue and white carnations and red ribbon tied in the center, of which their was a raggedy Ann and Andy. Ina Heaton was the Maid of honor and wore a blue floor length dress with butterfly sleeves with a background of Raggcdv Ann and flowers on it. Vcrdcne Betts. Dawn Smith. They carried one single long stemmed red tipped white carnation with a red ribbon. The brides mother was dressed in a white floor length dress with a lace bodice and dotted swiss skirt. She wore a corsage of red and white carnations tied with a red ribbon, the grooms mother wore a gown and flowers the same as those worn by the brides mother. Randy Bywater was best man to the groom. The groom graduated from Union high school where he was acitce in wrestling. He attended two years at Utah Technical College in Provo where he majored in Body and Fender work. Steve and Delyce Bellon, Salt Lake are the happy parents of a baby girl born last week. This makes six children for the Bellons. The grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Steve Bellon of Roosevelt and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Hansen of Altamont. Mr. and Mrs. Craig Mitchell of Vernal are the happy parents of an 8 lb. baby girl bom in Vernal on Saturday May 17th. This makes three girls the Mitchells, the happy grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Grover Mitchell and Mr. and Mrs. Albert are Mr. and Potts, Mrs. Percy Potts all Upalco and Mrs. Olive Miles, Altamont. The little miss will be known as Mindy Sue. Ron and Sharleen Goodrich are the happy parents of a baby girl born May 20th on Tuesday at the Duchesne County HospitaL She has two sisters and one brother and her grandparents are Mrs. Verona Goodrich, Bluebell and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Dump of Altonah. Mrs. Joyce Carney and two children visited a few days here with her aunt and uncle, Verl and Jackie Tucker. The Carneys live in Granger. The family of Mrs. Sylvia Goodrich had a reunion here in Bluebell over the weekend. Those here were Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Goodrich, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Goodrich, Mr. and Mrs. Drew Goodrich, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Paul McDaniel, Mr. and Mrs. Craig Ashton and families from Pocatello, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Goodrich and many more relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Walker and boys from Denver, Colorado were here visiting over the weekend. Visiting at the La Von Atwood home over the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Bob Clark, Mrs. Vendetta Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Berrett, all Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Marian Berrett of Logan. On Sunday the ladies all visited at the Uintah County Hospital in Vernal with Austin Beebe who had had a serious heart attack. Ted and Teresa Young of Sparks, Nevada visited here during the week with family members. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Winkler and Pauline were in Vernal on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Monsen drove to Ferron to attend the funeral services of a relative, Roger Luke who was killed in the Huntington mine cave in. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Goodrich spent the weekend here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Owen Goodrich. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Loertscher of Price spent the weekend here with the Dan Loertscher family.
