The latter part of May has been slated for the season opener. Track owner, Keith Davis, is presently budding bleachers and new crash walls, one of many jobs he plans to complete. The first meeting for stock car racers was held at Bottle Hollow resort April 2, where new rules were discussed. In a move toward a more econmkal form of racing and to make it easier for more people to participate, a new class of racers was created called hobby stocks. The Hobby Stock Car is simply a stripped down car requiring roll bars and a few other minor features. For those who have always wanted to be a part of the exciting sport of Auto Racing; here is their chance Mr. Davis stated. With the new class of cars and several special events planned it should season at Roosevelt be an action-packe- d Speedway.
