Show Funeral services were held Wednesday November 13 in the Neola Ward Chapel for Curt Bastian. Those from out rf town attending were Mr. and Mrs. Ken Bastian, Mrs. Bob Daniels. Mrs. Dorothy Casto. Mrs. Mildred Allred, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Blaine, Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Bastian, Mr. and Mrs. Deone Spencer, Mrs. Clifton J enkins, Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Wilson, Mrs. Flora Wilson and boys, Lhi, Mr. and Mrs. Scott Edrington and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Leavitt, Kamas, Doug Labrum, Richfield, Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Osborne and family, Pleasant Grove, Mr. and Mrs. Terry Bastian and Mr. and Mrs. Rex Gardner, Vernal, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Rust, Altamont. Mr. and Mrs. Brent Walker and Mr. and Mrs. John Loveridge, Salt Lake spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Theron Horrocks. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Duncan received word of a new granddaughter born Friday November 15 to Mr. and Mrs. Parley Alexander Jr. The little miss weighed 7 lbs. and 14Vi oz. and will be named Regina Ann. There grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Parley Alexander Sr. Great grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Joe Duncan, Neola and Mrs. Ruth Powell, VernaL Mrs. Larry Labrum and boys flew to Tucson Arizona to visit awhile with her parents. Theron Horrocks went to Hobson, Montana last week to attend a cattle sale. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Riggle spent the weekend in Salina, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Peterson spent sometime in Helena, Montana getting aquainted with their new grandson, Bryant, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Peterson. He was born October 3 3 and has three sisters, a Word was received here last Wednesday of the death of Joan Gardner Smuin, Vernal, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Gardner one time residents of Neola. Hattie Jensen and Bernard attended her funeral Oberhansly November 15. They were cousins to Mrs. Smuin. a Neola Temple days were held last Friday and Saturday in the Provo Temple. Lecta Horrocks left Monday for Las Vegas Nevada where she will spend some time with relatives. The community was saddened again last Thursday, November 14, by the death of Dick Coltharp. He had been in a Salt Lake hospital for six weeks. Funeral services were held Monday November 18 in Vernal Janie Labrum, Prom spent the weekend home from school with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Labrum. His wife Louise and two children. Carl is stationed at Lackland AFB, Tex. Mr. and Mrs. Frank T. Defa attended the viewing for Earl Sweat in Heber City Sunday evening. He was a cousin to Hazel Defa. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Clark went to Salt Lake Sunday afternoon to visit their funeral family. They also attended services for Earl Sweat Monday in Salt Lake before returning home. Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Lewis left with their daughter, Susan Price and children of Orem to go to Ft. Sill Oklahoma last weekend. Susan's husband is stationed at Ft Sill and they are helping her move. They will visit for a week and help them get settled. The DUP held their meeting Monday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Alma Wilcock of Midvale visited Edna Giles last weekend. Edna and her daughter Nina Gines went to Salt Lake Tuesday to visit her daughter, Lorraine Patton of Arizona. They all had dinner with her daughter Carma while in the city. Last weekend Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Humphrys had a birthday dinner for their twin girls, Pauline and Paulette. It was their 5th birthday. They had Raggedy Ann and Andy Cakes made by Ina Van Tassell. Their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Roberts helped them celebrate. Mrs. Deon Rhoades and Mrs. Ina Van Tassell went to Salt Lake last Monday on business. Norma Wagstaff and Sherrie Jackson kept an eye doctor appointment Monday in Salt Lake. Vivian Curry and Norma Rhoades and children went to Rock Springs, Wyoming Monday to pick up David who had taken a truck to Wyoming for the company he works for. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lee this past weekend was Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Pace and family of Salt Lake. The Relief Society held work day Tuesday with a large crowd attending. The small son of Mr. and Mrs. La V ere Fabrizio returned home from his stay in the Provo Valley Hospital. He is recovering very well at the present time. Mr. and Mrs. Leo B. Defa, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Defa, and Jennie Jones all attended the viewing for Earl Sweat at Heber Sunday evening. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Roy Chapman Kinlichee, Arizona. The Blazer B boys and their fathers attended a priesthood preview banquet with their fathers in Vernal Saturday night. The Tridell Farmstead Water Users Ass'n meeting was held Wednesday night. Directors for the coming year are Duane McKee, Gene Harvey and Clyde Merkley. The Tridell Ward sponsored a budget supper Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. Douelas McKee are the proud parents of a baby girl born Sunday night, November 17th at the Roosevelt Hospital.
