Mystery Dinner Theater to be presented at the Red Flame Restaurant The Bountiful Community Theater will again present their traditional October Mystery Dinner Theater at the Red Flame Restaurant. The Mystery Theater will play for two nights Oct. 20 and 21 at 7 p.m. The title of the play is An Heir of Mystery, an original murder mystery written and produced by Jim Christian, (Director of musical theater at Weber State University). The group presenting the is the theater mystery Chameleons The Whodunit Company, an ensemble of some of Utahs most talented performers. The Chameleons have in their repertoire a number of mysteries written by Jim Christian. An Heir of Mystery is a uniquely entertaining play that brings the audience into the action. Members of the audience can get totally involved in the play as participants or master sleuths or they can just sit back and enjoy the play as casual observers. Everyone is challenged to solve the mystery and claim the prize as the best detective. Jim Christian has had a wide variety of experience producing mystery dinner theater. He and his wife Jeri performed and wrote scripts for two mystery theater companies in San Diego during his six year tenure as director of San Diego State Universitys musical theater program. Since returning to Utah Jim has continued to write, direct and produce mystery dinner theater and per form as a member of Chameleon group. The plot of An Heir of Mystery is the discovery that the heirs of a British tycoon would share equally in the estate. However, should one of the heirs die their share would be divided equally among the remaining heirs. The mayhem and murder that follows is predictable and entertaining. Reservations are $18 per person and include preshow enterdinner and the tainment, Chameleons production of An Heir of Mystery. The Bountiful Community Theaters Mystery Dinner Theater will be presented October 20, 21, 7 p.m. at the Red of Wasatch Humanes second annual symposium, Solutions to Pet Overpopulation, Oct. 21. Topics and panel discussions will include: Kenny Maicke, a clown from Ringling Bros, and Barnum & Bailey Circus, entertains some of the kids at South Davis Community Hospital (SDCH). Several residents from SDCFf will be treated to one of the circus performances at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City on Sept. 27 to Oct. 2 from tickets donation by the Davis County Clipper. Maicke in his role as goodwill ambassador will be performing at Sears stores, local boys and girls clubs at northern Utah hospitals promoting the "Greatest Show on Earth."
