This brought the Cats preseason record to 1 after their loss to Murray earlier in the week. We definitely, looked better than we did against Murray last Tuesday, said Woods Cross coach Lynn Robinson. Everybody was pretty psyched to be swimrivals. Senior diver Dave Siddoway agreed, It seemed like ming our cross-tow- n the team was more focused for this meet." The girls final score was Woods Cross 157, Viewmont 124 and Bountiful 26. "The girls looked really sharp, stated Coach Robinson. Indeed, the ladies placed first in all but two events. Tami Gadd (200 and 500 freestyle), and Jamie Anderson (200 IM and 100 breaststroke), and Erin Blundell (100 butterfly and 100 easily swam past their opponents to take first in both of their individual events. Jill Toronto (100 freestyle) also placed first for the Wildcats. The medley and the 400 free relay team also cruised to first, while the 200 free relay team touched out Viewmont in an exciting finish. The final score for the boys was Woods Cross 140, Viewmont 114.5 and Bountiful 74.5. The Cats finished strong against their 5A neighbors, posting first place finishes from Scott Jenkins (200 freetyle), Dave Siddoway (diving), Jason Smith (100 freestyle), Jon Groberg (100 backstroke), and James Carroll (100 breaststroke). The medley and 200 free relay teams also cruised to first place. I think we showed a lot of heart. Now we need to work on our speed, commented Coach Robinson.
