She was born Sept. 13, 1912 in Cole Camp, MO, daughter of Dietrick and a Anna Bockelman Bohling. She married Reed B. Briggs, May 12, 1950 in Los Angeles, Calif. She was reared and educated in Cole Camp, MO and Deshler, Neb. She moved to Los Angeles, Calif, in 1936. She lived there until moving to Bountiful in 1981. She moved to Ogden in 1990. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ogden. FARMINGTON Gretchen, Las Vegas, Nev.; stepson John Briggs and wife Cathy and their children. She is also survived by a brother, Richard Bohling, Hebron, Neb. and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four sisters and five brothers. Funeral services were held at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Ogden. Interment was in the Lindquists Memorial Garden of the Wasatch. Service under the direction of the Lindquists Ogden Mortuary. The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society in her name. J. Marcus Griffin J. Marcus Griffin, 83, died at the home of his daughter in Lakewood, Colo, on Friday, Oct. 8, 1993. He was born Dec. 3,1909 in Newton, Utah to John Edward and BOUNTIFUL Mina Funk Griffin. Married Elizabeth Posnien on Aug. 25, 1937 in the 2010 South Main in Bountiful Survived by daughter Sharon and her husband Mick Slater, granddaughter, Sherrie, all of Monroe, Utah; granddaughter 1 1 To... He was a member of the LDS Church and held many positions as choir director and music leader. He served as an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple. He was a High Priest. He will be remembered for his quiet, gentle nature. He attended Davis County and Colorado State Teachers College at Fort Collins, Schools Colorado. He was Farmington City recorder in 1942, until he left for the U.S. Air Force, serving three and one-ha- lf years in the U.S. and India. He started at First Security Bank in 1935, when he remained for 45 years, until his retirement in 1980. He served in many capacities and was operations manager, Bank Card Division at the time of his retirement. He served eight years as Farmington City Councilman and two years on Farmington City Board of Adjustment. Also served four years on Central Davis Sewer District. He is survived by his wife June, one son, Dr. W. Richard and wife Kathryn Barton, Salt Lake City; two daughters, Mrs. Kathe and Survived by his wife, Elizabeth; Salt Lake LDS Temple. City; Mrs. Konnie and husband Anderson, Lynn and George daughter-in-la- Nancy Griffin, Elizabeth and Arlo He attended schools in Cache Valley and graduated from Utah State University with his B.A. in 1932. He continued his education at New York University where he earned his M.A. and where he met his wife. He spent most of his career working at American Oil Refinery as a chemist and retired after 30 years. Marcus loved music and had a husband Stephen Porter, Salt Lake son, two daughters, John and LeSueur; 14 grandchildren; two great grandchildren. Patrick Collins, Springville; a w three sisters, Doris Stover, Funeral services will be held Sacramento, Calif.; Lillian Carter, Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 11 a.m. in the Bountiful 43rd Ward Chapel, 100 W. 1000 N. Friends may call at the 5 a.m. prior to the church Carmichael, Calif.; Mrs. Lorlee and husband Dean Simmons, 9:45-10:4- services. Interment, Lakeview Russon Brothers Cemetery.
