Show 4 CUPPER Friday, September 10, 1993 15 ,322 new students enroll at crowded Davis schools 1 FARMINGTON -- - Is your kid's school overcrowded? Did he come home on the first day complaining that even the halls were crowded? Is her classroom a portable one? Well, welcome back to school in Davis County. The Davis Board of Education heard the preliminary enrollment figures for the 1993-9- 4 school year Tuesday and night, not surprisingly, they show enrollment has increased -- - by a whopping 33 more than 1,322 students projected. The official figures won't be in until Oct. 1, but if the past 15 years show any trend, there will be even more kids by then. A breakdown of enrollment figures by school show some pretty significant increases and decreases -like 128 fewer students at East Layton Elementary, and 248 more students at Kaysville's Morgan Elementary. But in schools where enrollment has changed that much, a good portion of it can be SNOWBLOWERS attributed to boundary changes, according to district Assistant Stephen Superintendent Ronnehkamp. Some schools gained or lost only a handful, but most could count on a gain or loss gains, of 30 to 70 kids. Service AM Makes We rPaulb 9Px leb v SPefovice 113 N.
