"We initially decided to hold this breakfast because there was nothing going on in Kaysville on the 24th of July," stated Geoff Jensen, Bowman's Office manager. After talking to Vance Garfield, Director of Parks and Recreation at the time, they decided, "...to give it a try, and it was a hit, said Jensen. "We usually serve around 1,200 people each year." This year, the Utah Karate Institute has donated three months of free karate lessons, a $100 value, to the Recreation Department. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the breakfast for $1. Over the past seven years, Bowman's Market has donated over $10,000 to the youth of Kaysville through its recreation programs. Residents are encouraged to attend this year's breakfast to help support recreation in Kaysville and enjoy a good breakfast with good company. "No one goes away hungry," said Jensen. Court Appointed Special Advocates needed in Davis County to represent the best interests of a child in court. Call Programs for teenagers to work as volunteers in an area hospital. For teens 13 and older. Programs available for dental and nursing assistants. Program runs for six months. Substantial needs for volunteers in several areas in a hospital in North Davis County. Also community service hours available for medical students in many areas of study.
