Davis hockey team notches 1 victory 3-- BOUNTIFUL The Davis High School hockey team defeated Judge Memorial last Wednesday at the Bountiful Arena to notch up its first victory in its first game of the season. The team was really up for this game, said Davis Hockey Coach Greg Patterson. Weve practiced hard. The game was a defensive struggle from the outset as neither squad could break the others goal in the first period. In the second period, however. Judge lit up to lead. take the early It wasnt until late in the second period that Kirt Johnson, of Davis, rippled the net for Davis' first score. He was assisted by Paul Anderson. Anderson put in the next goal himself, the assist was by Tyler Barton and Marcus Thompson and Davis had the lead for good. Davis Ryan Barton knocked in the Darts final goal as he was assisted by Thompson. 3-- 1 This team has a great bunch of kids on it, said Patterson. That makes our coaching job a lot easier. Teams may register by going to the Hess Fitness Center Bldg. 520 at Hill AFB and picking up an application. Costs to participate will be $100 per team and deadline to sign up will be Dec. 4. The Tournament will be a true double elimination, all games will be played weeknights and Saturday. Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd. and 3rd, place team finishes.
