Marx, an optometrist at the Layton Visual Center, was installed as the president of the Utah Optometric Association at the annual convention in Park Marx has served in every elected office in the Utah Optometric Association, including president during the years 1975, 1976, 1980 and 1981. He also served as a member of the board of trustees of the American Optometric Association from 1976 to 1978. Marx is a graduate of Carbon High School, Carbon College and Brigham Young University. Besides his private practice, Marx also serves as visual consul- tant for the Clearfield Job Corps Center. His hobbies include being a private pilot and restoring vintage automobiles.
