Roderick Stone, 22, of 857 Oxford Drive, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 1985 of injuries sustained in an auto accident. He was born May 19, 1963 in Ogden, a son of Roderick Clyde and Ritchie Stone. He had lived in Dutch John for two ' years, Page, Ariz., three years, Phoenix, Ariz., one year. Bountiful, six years, Layton for 10 years and had recently moved to Kaysville. He graduated from Layton High School in 1981, and had attended Ricks College and was attending We- -' ber State College at the time of his death. He was a member of the LDS Church. He had worked as an electrician and a painting contractor. Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Nannette R. and Keith Siggard, ' Kaysville; his father and stepmother, Roderick C. and Joyce Stone, Bountiful; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Odd, Kaysville; Mrs. Helen Stone, Ogden. He was born March 27, 1908, in Kaysville, a son of Frank H. and Minnie Jarman Bishop. He married Florence Armstrong on ' March 25, 1930, in Bountiful. He had lived in Detroit, Mich., Bountiful for several years, and in Kaysville since 1945. He attended schools in Utah and Michigan, graduating from the LDS High School. He was and Elder in the Kaysville 1st Ward where he worked in scouting and other auxiliary organizations. He operated the Bishop Ford Agency in Layton for many years before he , became owner of E & M Ford in North Layton for 37 years. He was President -of Utah Auto Dealers in 1963. He was active on the Ford Dealer Advertising Boards and served as president 3 different years. He was president of the Layton Kiwams Club in 1949. He was intrumental In getting the Davis High stadium lighting in 1948. Surviving are his widow of Kaysville, one son and one daughter; Frank A. Bishop, Kalama, Wash.; Mrs. Paul W. Lee Thomson died Sept. 9, 1985 after being accidentally shot. He was born July 9, 1925, in Grand Juction, Colo. He worked at Hill Air Force Base and in 1943 married Lorraine Loe of Layton. They had 3 children: Mrs. Larry (Linda) Dailey of Clearfield; Larry Lee Thomson; Mrs. Bruce (LeAnne) Christensen, Syracuse. He worked driving a truck after serving in the Navy. He was a rodeo clown in 1957. He was divorced and married Arleen Jaques of Layton in 1964. They had one daughter, Judy Linn. He worked for Layton City and Davis County driving heavy equipment. He married again and was divorced. He had a daughter from the marriage who is living in Oregon. Thomson had two sisters: Mrs. Johnny (Audrey) Walker of Granger, Wash, and Mrs. Ronnie (Ida) Holmes.
