This is a necessary safety precaution when deploying to an unfamiliar airfield, especially after a long flight. While overseas, 388th TFW members will train with military elements of NATO. The aircraft will refuel form Strategic Air Command tankers. Military Airlift Command will airlift approximately 250 maintenance and support people and their equipment.
