Show - - News 4-- H KOOKIE COOKERS The meeting of the Kookie Kookers was held at the home of our secretary, Linda Laird. Lorie Mendenhall said the prayer, Kelly Ann Peery led the pledge. We made cocoa syrup and egg sandwiches. Everyone enjoyed herself. Those present were Kelly Ann Peery, Lorie Mendenhall, Linda Laird and Wendy Gull. Linda Laird asked the closing prayer. 4-- Spencer last Thursday. We elected the following officers: Carri Peck, president; Carla Crouch, Peggy Ellsworth, secretary; Kathryn Perry, reporter; and Annette Dansie, activity chairman. are The body of Orson Taylor, 72, was found in an irrigation ditch which runs cooking and taking beginning 1. Be on time; 2. Eat what you cook; and 3. Clean up kitchen. Mrs. Spencer served punch and cookies. parallel to Center Street in Santaquin. Mr. Taylor was last seen by his friends sometime Wednesday night, but the body was not discovered until Friday. Utah County Sheriff Ralph Chappie stated that the victims hat was found along the ditch about a half block from a bridge where the body was found. It was Justin Lamb of Santaquin who discovered the body on Friday and reported to Santaquin Marshal Paul Callaway. The body taken to Salt Lake was was performed City where an autopsy by order of County Attorney Dayle Jeffs. Investigation into the drowning continues under the direction of Sheriff Chappie and Marshall Callaway. Funeral services for Mr. Taylor were held Wednesday, May 27, 1970, at 1 p.m. Stake Center. Burin the Santaquin-Tinti- c ial was in the Santaquin City Cemetery under the direction of Keith Jolley Mortuary. Born June 26, 1899 in Goshen, Utah County, he was a son of George M. and Martha Ann Bowles Taylor. He married Eva Bartholomew Aug. 16, 1916 in Provo. He was a member of the LDS Church. Survivors include his wife; a son, Ernest LeRoy Taylor, Spanish Fork; a daughter, Mrs. Eva Dodds, Santaquin; 13 grandtwo children; seven Milo William brothers, Taylor, Santaquin; Taylor, TaylorsviUe; four sisters, Mrs. Alice Ewell, Genola, Mrs. Lottie Skelton, Tooele; Mrs. Hattie King, Wellington, Carbon County; and Mrs. Daisy Thompson, Portland. our club pules are: -- - D.U.P. One day there was a movie called Mr. Decathlon. When riding they have been learning how to control the horses better. One Saturday there was an egg race. The members are looking forward to getting out of school and hoping the weather gets better so they can do more riding. Born Jan. 29, 1897 in Eureka, Juab County, he was a son of Gustav and Therasa Veit VierteL He married Beula Stewart April 12, 1920 in Provo. They were later divorced. He served in the Navy during World War I and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 48. He was also a member of the LDS Church. Mr. Viertel lived in Eureka, then in California for 15 years. He worked at Geneva Steel for a number of years. He was a member of the CrouW Service Station bowling team. Survivors include two sons, Dean Viertel, San Jose, Calif.; Lloyd Viertel, Downey, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Merelme Cache, Long Beach, Calif,; Mrs. Carol Hilliard, Garden City, Calif.; 14 grandtwo children; two brothers, Harold J. Viertel, Salt Lake City; Don A. Viertel, Provo; and two sisters, Mrs. Reed J. (Ella) Money, Mrs. Dorothy Holmes, both of Payson.
