December 29 at the Histone Cottonmill in St George Nine of her ten children helped her celebrate along with Don and Bonnie Farnsworth niece and Elinor and Garth Fletcher nephews and their wives Allan and Tanya Bales and Gordon and Eileen Bales Families attending arrived from southern California Las Vegas Nevada Salt Lake City Delta and LynndylUtah and Hawaii There was a talent show performed by some of the grandchildren Shelly Greathouse Kimberly Jaffe and David Jaffe played piano solos Shawn Edwards sang a vocal solo Brook Edwards did a lip sync Brett Edwards sang "Grandma Rap" with Fair will be Gary Clayton The fair is to be held at the Stake Center in Hinckley on Friday January 18 Mr Gay ton will speak at 7 pm All are invited Mr Clayton was bom in San Diego California In California he served in the highway patrol before coming to Utah in 1974 In Utah he became a member of the Utah County Sheriff s Department Here he became commando1 of emergency services in 1980 and undo his leadership the county produced nationally recognized programs featuring personal and family preparedness programs that encouraged reliance retired and Mr In 1990 Clayton moved to Manti where he became Sanpete County's Emergency Services Director s While with the Utah County Department he had a weekly program on radio station KSAR in Orem Every Wednesday he discussed emergency preparedness and was the formation source for several individuals who wrote on the subject His wife Sandi is a knowledgeable source for gardening food preparation and food storage The fair begins at 5 pm and will feature a number of booths and demonstration areas on emergency preparedness All are invited to attend and participate in the fair which will close at 9 pm on Friday evening January 18 Chapel continue holding prenatal classes for interested couples at the Delta Community Medical Center The next course will begin the middle of January Those interested may call the hospital for enrollment information the 2nd Wednesday of each month where guest speakers are invited to talk on subjects of interest to the area The Delta Chamber of Commerce has coordinated the grade school reading award program with ages These young artists are from Montezuma Creek Bluff Monument Valley and Mexican Hat Utah Come and see what the inside of a duck locks like or what dreams are mack of This display will be in the library and city hall for a month Don’t miss this delightful exhibit!
