W Jacobson was unable to come at this time He is a Professor at the Houston Texas University To visit also with the Owens’ were some other relatives from the east cousins from Iowa They spent 3 days here Bertha had never seen one of them and one she had not seen since she was six years old Lund and Doris Leonard from Huntington UT Murray and Helen Mathis from Price UT visited last week with Reid and Mary Tippetts The concert given by Mary Tippetts’ brother’s granddaughter proved to be an outstanding event then was followed on Sunday night with a Fireside from her LeAna Grant family father sister and brother then her grandmother ccame later Mrs Myrtle Petersen from Las Vegas NV Mary’s brother’s wife Heber and Dora Rose received a visit from Clear Lake friends Vaneta Bond Kelsey her son Michael Kelsey and brother Clinton Bond To visit also with the roses were daughter Virginia Robinson and daughter Laura and granddaughter Reagan For the Homemaking Day in the Sutherland Second Ward Relief Sociedifferent four ten minute classes ty were held with rotating from one to Packets were made up for another each member if they chose to buy one A lot of work had gone into making up the Sandy spent Saturday with mother Sarah Fowles To visit also with Sarah were daughter Jeanette and Fon Sampson from Lehi The Sutherland Second Ward Pack Meeting was held last week to learn more about fire safety Steve Thatcher who is a member of the Hinckley Fire Department brought the fire truck out to the Sutherland Park area where each of the boys learned how to use the fire hose The boys and their families numbered 45 present It was a very informative experience for them Michael Rose and Arjan Dekker made a trip to Provo on Thursday to get a mat for the high school gym floor in preparation for the Regional Conference coming up The responsibility of teaching and is always a subject learning for because thoughtful consideration children and all of us for that matter are likely High School as a senior The Freemans stayed in Salt Lake Friday night Next day they took Carlos to Temple Square and other teresting places before coming on to Flowell Noma Jackson has been very happy to have several family members come at different times during the past ten days Grandson Wayne Jackson wife and three boys son of John and Julia Jackson spent several days He “squeezed” in a little time for gathering fire wood A few days visit with grandma from Wayne’s brothers Mick Wife Jodi and their new baby Cleve wife Ann and their family When Noma doesn’t have family here she divides her time with sons Ted wife Norma Merlin wife Zelda in Fillmore They and their families give her TLC Mrs Arthur Allen went to Cedar City the afternoon of Sept 13 to visit and daughter Ron and their LaDawn Berkey They returned home Mrs a lot more good years Ethel Happy birthday Mrs Reed and Martha Johns of Salt Lake City were visitors at the home of Archie and Eddys Barben on Sunday Sept 19 They are long time friends and former residents of this area On Friday a week ago Mrs Deona Black was surprised with a very nice visit from Bishop Paul and Beth Newsome of Salt Lake City Bishop Newsome was Deona’s Bishop when Deona lived in Salt Lake a few years ago They spent a very enjoyable day together Deona was delighted On Monday Sept 14 Mrs Deona Black drove to Salt ake to the Veterans Hospital
