presented by Jeanie Dean Refreshments were served by hostesses Berna Davies and Alie Hatton Ula Maycock is home again after spending six weeks of the summer visiting members of her family in Calif Wash and Mont Ula’s son Duane and his wife Crystal Maycock drove Ula to Rancho CA to the home of Ula’s brother Lloyd and his wife Reta Brunson Duane and Crystal visited for a few days then returned home while Ula stayed on for two weeks helping care for Lloyd who had knee replacement surgery Ula reports he is getting along fine with his new knee joint From the Brunson home Ula went to San Mateo CA where she spent two weeks visiting with her daughters Burnham and LaNette Knudler After her lovely visit there she took a flying trip to Seattle WA where she visited with her son Loy his wife Carol Maycock and their family After a pleasant visit in their beautiful home they drove to Poulson MT where Ula’s immediate family had a family reunion at a fantastic lodge at Flathead Lake The lodge is owned and operated by Loy and Carol’s daughter and her husband They stayed at the lodge from Aug on which day Ula Duane and Crystal drove back to Fillmore This ended a fantastic summers vacation for Lake City was born September 4 1987 at the Cottonwood Hospital weighing 7 lbs 15 oz and 19'2 inches long She is the first child to bless this family Fay and Clara now have nine great grandchildren Other grandparents include Douglas and Vickie Frampton of Sandy great grandparents Harry and Jane Dunn of Yuma AZ and great great grandmother Laura Shaffer of Ogden Lucille Ricker has enjoyed an unusual amount of company this summer Her daughter Clara Mae and husband Clyde Shaver of Las Vegas came and stayed three weeks While they were here they bottled lots of fruit and enjoyed spending this kitchen time together Visiting Lucille over the Labor Day weekend were her grandson and his wife Jim and Kay Bucker of Las Vegas and her daughter Kimberly Ann and husband Michael Gunther of Salt Lake at the On Tuesday afternoon Sept 15 Flora & Odell Stewart took grandchildren Stacey and Jason with them to Delta to watch and cheer on Stephen and his team mates as they bowled After the games the Stewarts went to the home of Bobby Whicker Stephen’s close friend where they enjoyed a delicious dinner and visiting The rest of the family came back to Meadow but Stephen stayed overnight with Bobby Della and Nolan Bennett reported that during and since the Labor Day weekend they have had the following visitors in and out of their home Neal Marlene & Damon Wesphal from Las Vegas Deonna & Letitia Larsen and Lemoine and Blanche Bond all from Salt Lake and Michael and Venita Kelsey from Springville The nice part is they all helped around the yard etc in addition to happy visiting Don’t know if you are interested beautiful memories On Sept 18 Millie Pace of Delta came to Fillmore and spent a lovely sunny afternoon visiting with her sisters Marjorie McBride and Angie Green Through Sept 19 and 20 Marjorie McBride will be enjoying the cpmpany of her daughter Bonnie her husband Clayton Huntsman and their children Robert Sonia and Michelle of St George Clayton and Bonnie will be motoring on to Salt Lake City while the children stay in Fillmore with their grandmother but I went back in memory 48 years as I attended my high school graduation reunion in Tooele on Sept 19 Anyone who doesn’t attend their school reunion It’s great to renew is really unwise those dear friendships and you don’t have to worry about looking old beacuse everyone is YOUR age! We plan to have our 50th in 2 years (Hope I’m still around by then) Harold and NaDean Beckstrand spent the weekend at Marilyn and Kerry DeVries’ home in West Jordan They all attended the Temple during most of the day That evening Richard Don and Jay joined them for a special for Brian Eagle Court of Honor DeVries who received his Eagle award The family presented the program along with the Scout officials It was a wonderful occasion Brian has good examples to follow since his father and all eight of his uncles have received their Eagle awards and fulfilled missions How many have heard the Coyotes singing their haunting songs lately? Ida Bunker will be 94 years old on Sept 18 Mrs Bunker is in the Delta Hospital recovering from a broken hip and leg Although she has been blind for several years she took care of herself in her own
