Not all women are depressed either. Some men believe they only get upset (like women do on their periods) when they have a good reason to be. I have noticed that some men think being upset for a good reason is losing something like a basketball game. Give me a break, kiddos there will be more games. Oh, and men complain about womens monthly cycles, or they at least try to steer clear during that treacherous time of the month. Yet we ladies have to deal with men who can never make decisions, shed tears when their teams lose, get angry when their chips break in the cheese dip, and have the guts to call us crazy. But theyre men, and they dont cycle because they dont have proof of it happening, right? Thats why men seem normal. According to a June 17, 2010, Web MD article titled Researchers Identify Male Menopause, by Katrina Woznicki, men can actually go through menopause too. Now hold on not all men have a large decrease in testosterone levels like women do with estrogen levels as they age. However, some actually experience a significant drop in testosterone, which causes fatigue and a decrease in sex drive. Finally, were not alone. Next time your man tries to blame something on your cycle, then blame his instant rage at you for eating all his chips on his, and make sure you let him know he is crazy on a daily basis not just a monthly one. spousal rights BY TAYLOR GRIN News Editor State law limits marriage to one man, one woman Constitutional amendment limits marriage to one man, we woman its not It is better to be feared than O 0 O 0 0 O r- o $ Del oiL o Md 1 DC J 0 o O O 0 taoa NOTF Hawaii s to ' watch this year Gay marriage bill Ah votes has legislature, Gov f!s Oregon e (D) will sign in JjGay marriage bill may pass Aslature, Gov Martin ' (D) will sign legislature considers A' of gay marriage law it U Ad in ?0Q9 a not to scate N.J. Case closed. But you might say to me: What about the testosterone level cycles men experience? Isnt that similar to a female cycle, and doesnt it affect a mans emotions just like periods do for men have periods is a laughable joke; sorry women, your sexs equality guild doesnt work women? Men do have a testosterone level cycle here. 24-ho- ur If women have periods then men should too -right? In a perfect world of equality this might be the case, but we do not live in such a place. Google searches on the male period produce mil- of hits, as do all other searches, but thats not the lions point. The results are all female writers blogging their mission of convincing the world of a male period. Why does it even matter if a man has a period? Is there this endless search to find why men act the way they do? A male period is not a valid answer. The plain fact is that women experience a hormonal cycle not applicable to the male sex. Men dont dur- ing the day, and the levels can roller coaster depending on an individuals circumstance. It is a natural chemical cycle just like another ' 24-ho- ur chemical cycle: the sleep cycle. We have a chemically driven internal clock system. Serotonin is converted into melatonin, which is then converted right back to serotonin. This system results in making a body feel drowsy. Sleepy feelings can make an individual grumpy just like a period does for a woman, but nobody would ever make such a claim. So why target testosterone? Even Gabrielle Lichter-mathe founder of the popular hormone website n, opposite. Some say men cycle sports because of a male period. Blame those who set up the sports calendar and not a male period. I am a sports fan who does cycle interest in different sports throughout the year. I usually follow, and play, the sports that are professionally underway at that time. It is common sense to be interested in what is on TV. The male period theory is wishful thinking from those who are upset. Men dont have to deal with periods and PMS. Stop wasting time attempting to prove a male period existence, and save your words for a personal journal. DIXIE SUN Richard Briggs, in The Prince, a treatise written to the Medici family as advice for rulership. It seems that conservatives have picked up this philosophy and taken it for an interesting spin as a means of motivating their voter base. No, Im not calling conservatives stupid. churches clergy have to go against their values, or cause people to want to marry dogs, or make people catch the gay, or some such nonsense. Conservatives peddle fear because they know its the best way to sell their policy. Theyre making the disease and selling the cure. Conservative politicos tell their base that the Middle East is a hotbed for terrorists, and they use that fear to turn a molehill, gay marriage for example, into a mountain. General intelligence in the psychological field is an unnecessarily complicated way offget-tin- g at critical thinking. What the study shows is conservatives are more likely to take authoritarian leaders on their word without questioning it. So conservatives tend to favor the more than the more so than others, and they listen to their leaders without critically assessing what they say again, on average.
