Head coach Angela Kristensen said she picked Adams for Athlete of the Month because of the example she sets for other team members. I feel like Shes a gamer and is prob- shes the leader of this team, Kristensen said. Shes not a vocal leader she leads by example. Fellow teammate Shanae Vaifanua, a senior communication major from Hurricane, agreed about Adams competitiveness and said Adams pushes herself to the max. Seeking a different experience, Adams transferred to Dixie from Idaho State University, which is a Divi- atmosphere, said assistant coach Kiva Herman. But this competitive persona masks a goofier side of Adams, who enjoys playing pingpong and making sarcastic cracks. She sees life as a fun game, Vaifanua said. She has a fun humor, which people dont realize. Vaifanua said Adams loves to bust out into song, and will be the first one to pull out the Glee karaoke. She hopes to be on Glee one day, Vaifanua said. She loves to sing Say a Little Prayer, and she loves to be the first one sion I school. Shes played at a high level, so she knows what it takes to play in that singing. Vaifanua said singing brings out another side of Adams. Her alter ego definitely wants to be a singer, Vaifanua said. Vaifanua also said Adams is a caring person who values family above everything. She has a heart for people, which is something sports doesnt show, she said.
