This fieedom, or lack of structure, is unnervsome students. During fall semester last to ing year, many students found themselves several weeks from the semesters end, still needing to test out of all four sections. This created an overload for faculty and students alike, as students rushed to get everything done. A number of students simply failed or were unable to meet the Computer Information Literacy requirement score of 80 percent or better, used by Dixie College to determine computer literacy. Changes have been made. The semester is divided into fourths and each section is given its a big self-pace- d own due date and its own test deadline! Missed deadlines are not disastrous to students but do result in a loss of possible points. As Becky Smith, Computer Information Technology Department chair says, Procrastination is divided into fourths. Students who experience difficulty scheduling time, now have more structure.
