Kiss Me, Kate tells the story of the Baltimore opening of a revival of Shakespeares Taming of the Shrew. Characters will appear in their own roles and as other characters in the play within a play. Heading the cast of the Cole Porter musical are Kent Cottam in the dual role of Fred Graham and Petruchio, and Clare Dale Terry as Lilli Vanessi and Katherine. Teddy Sue Seegmiller is featured in the roles of Lois Lane and Bianca, and Donald Burris, of Magna, will be seen as Bill Calhoun and Lucentio. Other roles are as follows: Jim Clarke, of Cannonville, as Harry Trevor and Baptista; Laurence Snell as Ralph; Sharon Lemmon, of Hurricane, as Hattie; Ralph Webb, Paul; Stanford Dailey, of Salt Lake City, as Gremio; Darrell Graff, Hortensio; Wendell Gray and Mike Wintch, of Tropic, as the gunmen; and Lynn Stanley, of Heber City, as Harrison Howell. Choreography for the production is by Reynolds Johnson. -- Patsy Gubler Selected As National Guard Queen Miss Patsy Gubler, a cute sophomore from Santa Clara was selected last Monday evening by the national guard boys as their queen. This June, Pat will receive a plane trip to Salt Lake City where she will represent this region in the state contest for national guard queen. (The winner of the state contest will be eligible to compete for Miss Utah, and, if she wins, also Miss America. First runner-u- p to Patsy is Shirlee Harris of St. George. They were selected from among fifteen nominees for the honor. Several students motored to California last Friday to take the tape recording of the Ross Eagar day assembly down to Ross. Among those who went were Brent Lovell, DeOnne Sorenson, Ila Dawn Sullivan, DeLoy Gubler, and Idonna Eagar. |
