Show DIXIE OWL, ST. GEORGE, UTAH 2 The House As the sixth academic year draws to a close, much might be said about the unheard of success of our Dixie College. Its growth has been a rapid one. This year four hundred of the sons and daughters of this fair land in their endeavor to solve the problem of life, that they may better serve their fellow men, have received instruction in our Academy. Our system of democratic gov- ernment furnishes opportunity for self development, encourag -- of Commons es interest in civic alfairs, and stimulates thought. The present Student Body of- ficers, realizing that service to society is an enviable virtue, have sacrificed their own interests and worked with untiring efforts that the standards of our Student Body life should be raised to the highest points. We have been conscientious in our work this year, and as our term of office is about to expire we wish to thank the loyal Student Body for the help they have giv en us in making the year a success. In handing over the reigns of government to the coming Student Body, we wish them success, that they may unite in aiding the institution in stimulating thought, social purity and good citizenship; that the united effort may produce such a stimulus of thought that many active new men and women may work where but few have worked before.
