If you lost the ticket, or are hopelessly confused by any form of government, call the police department that issued the ticket. They can give you the names and phone numbers of the courts in their jurisdictions Failure to contact the court, either by paying the fine or asking for a hearing, will result in a warrant for your arrest. Bluntly put, this means you can be taken to jail.
