Alta View Hospital is ottering a three-par- t maturation class lor mothers and daughters. 9 to 12 years of age. The first session deals with anatomy and physiology and will be taught by Dr. Hoss Wooley of the University of Utah's College of Family and Community Medicine. The second course is on personal safety awareness and will be taught by Kathy Remmington, a teacher who has conducted numerous seminars in the Seattle area on safety and personal protection. The third session focuses on sharing and values clarification between mother and daughter. This course will be conducted by Miss n and Betsy Folland, a social worker. The classes will be held on three consecutive Wednesdays Jan. 4. Jan. 11 and Jan. 18 from 7 to 9 p.m. each week. Cost of the course is $10. The clinics, by the Utah Division of the American Cancer Society, will be: Jan. 17, at Magna Community Council Building, 3941 S. 8560 West. Jan. 25, at Butler LDS Stake Center, 7035 S. Nutree St., Sandy. Jan. 31, Fort Union South LDS Stake Center, 615 K. 3060 South. Appointments are necessary and can be made by contacting the health department. The clinics will include a Pap test, pelvic and breast examinations, blood pressure check and health education information on risk factors, signs and symptoms of cancer. Referrals for appropriate medical follow-u- p will be made. The clinics will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The exams will be done by registered nurses. In order for that to occur, EIA said, the licensing and construction process for nuclear plants must be shortg ened, policies must be changed to improve utilities cashflow and public confidence in nuclear powers safety must increase. Price 500 Information Now Available Information about the Bureau of Land Management's evaluation of commercial river running operations on daily sections of the Green and Colorado Rivers is available to the public. Commercial running permits only can be acquired for these sections of the rivers, said Gene Nodine. BLM's Moab District manager. Over the years, the BLM has received a number of requests for additional permits. The proposal being considered is to issue new commercial permits on the Colorado River "daily" section between Cisco and Castle Creek and on the Green River daily section between Nefertiti Rapid and the diversion dam. A separate draft environmental assessment has been prepared for each of the two segments. These documents are available for public review and comment through Jan.
